When Paul and Silas entered Thessalonica, they proclaimed a message that disturbed the entire city: There is another King—one called Jesus.

In this message, Pastor Kevin Diamond explores how the Good News challenged allegiance to Caesar, turned people from idols, and formed a church whose faith rang out across the region. The same Gospel continues to confront the rival kings within our hearts—especially our need for approval and our desire to control the outcome.

When approval rules, other people become king. When control rules, we attempt to become king. When we surrender, Jesus takes His rightful place as King.

The Good News for us today is that Jesus is the true King who frees us through surrender to Him.

Let go of the outcome. Let God be God. Take the next faithful step.
